| Located in a beautiful brick and timber building in Chicago’s Lincoln Park, our facility is accessible from nearly every neighborhood and highway in the city. Ample, free parking is available on the street in front of the facility. |
Generator, Security & Access |
| A 125-kilowatt Caterpillar generator is on an automatic transfer switch, sensing any drop in current from local Com-Ed electrical service. We have 2 contracts for mobile diesel service to replenish the large fuel tank. The generator is tested weekly and sized sufficiently to power the entire building indefinitely including cooling units, security system and computers.
The building is secured in a variety of methods including layered security doors and redundant alarm sensors. For convenience, key cards allow access from 6am -11pm daily, though our staff receives notification each time someone enters after business hours. Perimeter, motion, heat, smoke, and humidity detectors have been installed throughout the facility with all sensors and control panels wired to backup power. In addition, there are backup transmitters should damage occur to wired telephone systems. Any change in status inside the building is immediately transmitted to our monitoring company and the police. |
Lounge |
| Our lounge is open from 10am – 6pm Monday – Friday, 10am – 2pm Saturday and can also be reserved for evening events.
We encourage customers to stop in throughout the day to relax and have a glass from their collection or to host a more formal gathering. The space boasts a full kitchen and a complete range of wine glasses and associated accoutrement for events including champagne, white, pinot and red glassware. There is a sound system, television and several distinct seating and dining spaces, giving the customer a sense of privacy or camaraderie, whichever they are looking for at the moment. Our customers can easily host an intimate meeting for 10 guests, a seated dinner for 20 or cocktail parties for 50. They can also look forward to invitations for exclusive tastings and events open only to Domaine customers. |
